Given :

Length of the floor = 25 m

Breadth of the floor = 100 m

To find :

Number of tiles required to the floor =?

Step-by-step explanation :

Firstly we have to find the Area of floor,

For this ,

We have to find the Area of rectangle because Area of rectangle = Area of floor.

We know that,

Area of Rectangle = length x breadth

Length of the floor = 25 m [Given]

Breadth of the floor = 100 m [Given]

Substituting the values in the above formula, we get,

= 25 x 100

= 2500

Therefore, the area of the floor = 2500 m².

Now,

We have to find the Area of the squared tile,

Side of squared tile = 5 m [Given]

We know that,

Area of the square = side²

Substituting the values in the above formula, we get,

= (5)²

= 5 x 5

= 25

Therefore, the area of one tile = 25 m²

Now

We have to find the number of tiles are required to the floor ,

So,

The number of tiles are required to the floor = Area of the floor / Area of the one floor

Substituting the values, we get,

= 2500/25

= 100.

Therefore, 100 tiles are required to the floor.
