Jason bought 20 stamps of $0.41 each and 8 postcards of $0.26 each.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let stamps be s and postcards be p:

Jason bought bought 41-cent stamps and 26-cent postcards and spent $10.28.

41s + 26p = 1028 ------------------------(1)

The number of stamps was 4 more than twice the number of postcards.

s - 4 = 2y

s - 2p = 4 ------------------------------(2)

(1) ------------------ 41s + 26p = 1028

(2) * 13 ------------ 13s - 26p = 51

Adding ------------ 54 s = 1079

s = 1079 / 54 = 19.98

Since s is a whole number, we approximate it to s = 20

Substituting in equation 2, we get 20 - 2p = 4

2p = 16

so p = 8

Jason bought 20 stamps of $0.41 each and 8 postcards of $0.26 each.
