Given : Jay tethered a cow at one corner of a rectangular field with rope 7m

Ajay tethered a buffalo at other corner of the same field with rope 6.3m.

The dimensions of the rectangular field are 80m by 50m.

To Find  : a) Which gazed more part of the field?

b) Find the ratio of grazing parts of the field by both.

c) Find the area of remaining field.

Solution:

cows and buffaloes are tethered at corners

Hence they can grazer 1 quarter of circle

Hence area grazed  = (1/4) π ( radius)²

radius  = Length of rope

as length of rope of  cow is greater 7 > 6.3

Hence cow  gazed more part of the field

ratio of grazing parts of the field by both.

cow : buffalo

(1/4) π ( 7)²  :  (1/4) π ( 6.3)²

=> ( 7)²  :  ( 6.3)²

=>  ( 70)²  :  ( 63)²

=> 10² : 9²

=> 100 : 81

ratio of grazing parts of the field by both. =  100 : 81

area of remaining field. = 80 * 50  - (  (1/4) π ( 7)²  + (1/4) π ( 6.3)² )

= 4000 - 38.5 - 31.185

= 3,930.315  m²
