Jaya and savitri together brought a lottery ticket costing 100rs. Jaya put in 30rs and savitri put in 70rs. They won 18000rs. They decided to share the prize in the ratio 30:70. How much money did each receive ?

ratio is 30: 70 means 3:7
so 3x + 7x = 18000
10x = 18000
So x = 1800
jaya got = 3 ×1800 = 5400 rs
savitri got= 7× 1800= 12600 rs
