Solutions :-
Given :-
Jayant read 1/7 of a book on Monday
2/5 of book on Tuesday
and 1/5 of book on Wednesday
Number of book = 1
Now,
Find the part of book which is already read:-
1/7 + 2/5 + 1/5
= (5+14+7)/35
= 26/35
Find the part of book which is left to read :-
1 - 26/35
= (35-26)/35
= 9/35
Hence,
9/35 part of the book is left to read.
Given :-

and 1/5 of book on Wednesday
Number of book = 1
Now,
Find the part of book which is already read:-

= 9/35
Hence,
9/35 part of the book is left to read.

Fraction of book read by Jayant on Monday = 1/7
Fraction of book read by Jayant on Tuesday = 2/5
Fraction of book read by Jayant on Wednesday = 1/5
fraction of book read in total = 1/7 + 1/5 + 2/5
(Make them like fractions)
So, 5/35 + 7/35 + 14/35 (As the L.C.M. of 5
and 7 is 35 )
Therefor , Jayant read 26/35
(2nd Step)
Fraction of book Jayant read in total = 26/35
Fraction of the book = 35/35 ( which is a whole )
Fraction of book left unread = 35/35 - 26/35
= 9/35
So, the answer is 9/35
Hope this helps.....
