jayesh is twice as old as Vijay and half as old as suresh.if sum of Suresh's and Vijay's age is 85 years.what is Jayesh age in years?

Let the age of Vijay be x

And age of Suresh be y

Therefore age of Jayesh= 2x..................(i)

Also Jayesh is half of Suresh age

Therefore Jayesh= y/2....................(ii)

Therfore equating (i)and (ii) we get jayesh age as 2x=y/2, i.e. 4x=y......(iii)

Sum of suresh and vijay age is 85 , therefore x+y= 85.....(iv)

And from (iii) we have y=4x , therefore substituing the valueof y in (iv) we get

x+4x=85,

5x=85

x=17

Therefore Vijay is 17(x), Jayesh is 34(2x), Suresh is 68(4x)
