Mrs Packletide's tiger by saki is a satire on human pride and vanity.it highlights the sheer futility of human emotions like hatred, jealousy and competitive nature towards others.Mrs packletide is greatly jealous of her arch rival loona bimberton and tried every trick and tactic to outshine her.in her compelling motive she springs and innocent goat as well as an old fragile tiger to death.in addition she wastes a lot of money on the hunting event and in the end again lands being blackmailed by her paid companion miss mebbin.
Thus in her jealousy and hatred she looses her money as well as happiness.
This the story is a true example of the futility of emotions like hatred and jealousy
