Homeostasis is maintained through sweating which is caused by the action of effectors  that are sweat glands.

The sweat glands are stimulated to the action of sweating in order to cool down body temperature when it is high thereby harmonizing the body temperature with that of the environment.

The determination of high external temperatures is made by body temperature sensors that in turn through receptors inform the brain which now activates the sweat glands as the effectors.
