Given : Jitendra lent 7680 to three persons x, y, z at 15%, 12% and 10% respectively.  at the end of the year, he received a total profit of 960 as interest,

To Find :    amount lent to x?

Solution:

SI = P * R * T /100

Question lakes some  details

x * 15 * 1/100 + y * 12 * 1/100 + z * 10*1/100 = 960

=>  x(0.15) + y(0.12) + z(0.1)  = 960

     x + y +  z = 7680

Two equation 3 Variables:

Not Possible to solve

Assume z =  1000

=> 0.15x + 0.12y   = 860

     x + y  =   6680

=> 0.03x = 58.4

=> x= 1,946.7

Assume z =  2000

=> 0.15x + 0.12y   = 760

     x + y  =   5680

=> 0.03x = 78.4

=> x=  2,613.33

Hence lot many possible solutions
