Answer:

Cost of the paints = $5.75

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Cost of 1 model sports car = $8.95

Total cost of 2 model cars and paints = $23.65

Find:

Cost of paints = ?

Solution:

Cost of 1 model sports car = \$8.95

Cost of 2 model sports cars = 2 \times 8.95

                                               = \$17.9

Total Cost = Cost of cars + Cost of paints

∴ Cost of paints = Total Cost - Cost of cars

                            = 23.65 - 17.9

                            = 5.75

Therefore, the cost of paints = $5.75
