Joel is working on his chemistry project and he has 300mL of 12% acid solution. (Include the graph where joel decrease the acidity)

If he needed to decrease the acidity of the solution w/c of the following is correct function that would show the new acidity of the solution given x mL of watet added?

a) f(x) = 36/300+x
b) f(x)= 0.36/300+x
c) f(x)= 12/300+x
d) f(x)= 0.12/300+x

And if joel decided to decrease the acidity of the solution by adding 15 more every interval w/c table of value is correct?

The Correct option for the Function that shows new acidity after adding xml of water and decrease in acidity of the Solution is 'A' .

Given:-

Volume of Acidic Solution = 300ml

Strength of Solution = 12%

To Find:-

The Correct function that would show the new acidity of the solution when x mL of water is added. And also the decrease in acidity of the Solution.

Solution:-

To find the Correct function and decrease in acidity of the Solution, you should have to follow these simple steps which includes.

Volume of Acidic Solution (v) = 300ml

Strength of Solution (s) = 12%

Volume Strength = Volume of Acidic Solution * Strength of Solution

vs = v \times s

vs = 300 \times  \frac{12}{100}

vs = 3 \times 12

vs = 36

Now, for writing the function that shows new acidity of the solution after adding x ml of water.

f(x) =  \frac{vs}{total \: volume}

f(x) =  \frac{36}{(300 + x)}

And, after solving the function f(x) in percentage or the decrease in acidity of the solution is 11.34%.

Hence, the Correct option for the Function that shows new acidity after adding xml of water and decrease in acidity of the Solution is 'A' .
