This poem is about a son going for war and his mother fantasized about the war in a wrong way.  

The soldier also believed his mother's word and he fantasized that participating and fighting in a war is an easy one but his world came crashing when he faced threats and problems in the war.  

When he was wounded badly, the scenario witnessed by him during those painful moments brought him to the actual sense about wars.
