John had some chocolates. He gave 3/10 of them totally his sister .then he shares the rest equally between himself and 6 other friends. What fraction of chocolates does he get?

let x be the total number of chocolates

chocolates given to the sister = 3/10×x = 3x/10

now chocolates that he got = 3x/10÷7 = 3x/10 × 1/7

= 3x/70

hence he gets 3x/10 of the total no. of chocolates
