Jolie can read around 14 sentences per minute of her current novel. She wants to finish her reading before the movie comes out next week. If she has 17 pages left to read and each page has about 120 sentences, how many hours should Jolie set aside to complete her reading?

Let's start off by finding how many sentences Jolie has left to read. We know that there are 120 sentences on a page and she has 17 pages left.
120*17=2040
She has 2040 sentences left to read.
Now, let's calculate how many hours it will take her to finish her reading. We know she reads 14 sentences in a minute and there are 60 minutes in an hour.
14*60=840
She will read 840 sentences in an hour.
Now, we will divide 2040 by 840 to find how many hours it will take for her to finish reading.
2040/840= 2.43
It will take Jolie approximately 2.43 hours to finish her reading.

Sentence read by Jolie in 1minute=14
No. of sentences each page=120
Time taken to read each page
=14×120
=1680 minutes
Time taken to read 17 pages
=1680×17
=28560 minutes
In hours
=28560÷60
=476
So no. of hours taken by the Jolie to read 17 pages=476hrs.
