Given :- Jonathan have piece of tape 2 1/2m long. He used 2/4 of it. What part of a meter of tape did he use ?

Solution :-

we have,

→ Total piece of tape Jonathan have = 2(1/2) m = (5/2) m .

now, given that, he used (2/4) which is equal to (1/2) of it.

then,

→ Tap he used = (1/2) of Total tape = (1/2) * (5/2) = (5/4) m . = 1(1/4) m .

Therefore, Jonathan used 1(1/4) m of tap .
