Step-by-step explanation:

Joseph can complete a work in 20 hrs

Joseph's 1 hour's work = 1/20

Peter can complete a work in 25 hrs

Peter's 1 hour's work = 1/25

________________________________

(i) (J + P)'s 1 hour's work = 1/20 + 1/25

= 5+4 / 100

= 9/100

(J + P)'s 4 hour's work = 9/100 × 4

= 9/25 (ans).

________________________________

(ii) Whole work = 1

Work done = 9/25

Hence, work left = 1 - 9/25

= 25-9 / 25

= 16/25 (ans).

________________________________

(iii) Work left = 16/25

Peter's capacity = 25 hrs

Time taken = 16/25 × 25 = 16 hrs (ans).
