Josh created a pattern by using tiles. Twenty tiles were blue. For the rest of the pattern he used equal numbers of red and white tiles. Forty percent of the pattern was made with blue tiles.How many red tiles were used to make the pattern?

According to the question..


20 blue tiles used are 40% of all the tiles used in the pattern. 

remaining 60% of the pattern if split evenly with the red and white tiles

30% (12 of 60%) is red tiles.

divide 20 blue tiles by 4 to find out how many tiles is in 10% of the pattern

20/4=5

5 tiles is 10% of the pattern

 5×3=15 

15 is the required ans.
