There would be no definite entry for cash in hand. As per the main rules of accounting, every transaction should have a double effect.

If we are talking only about cash in hand, there would be no definite journal entry for the same.

Cash in hand is an asset and the most liquid asset. It would be shown in the balance sheet on the assets side.
