Speed of the super fast train be (x + 16) km/h.

Time taken by passenger train = 192/x hr

Time taken by super fast train = 192/x + 16 km/h.

According to the Question,

⇒ 192(x + 16) - 192x = 2(x² + 16x)

⇒ 192x + 192 × 16 - 192x = 2(x² + 16x)

x² + 16x - 1536 = 0

⇒ x² + 48x - 32x - 1536 = 0

⇒ x(x + 48) - 32(x + 48) = 0

⇒ (x + 48) (x - 32) = 0

x = - 48, 32 (As speed can't be negative)

x = 32 km/h.

Speed of Passenger train = x = 32 km/h.

Speed of Super Fast train = x + 16 = 32 + 16 = 48 km/h.
