a+b=180° (Linear pair)

a-2b=30°
=> a=30+2b
Fill value of a in another equation.
(30+2b)+b=180°
3b=150°
b=50°

 Therefore, a=130°<br />b=50°

sidharthkapoor2004: i didi it in some other way but the answer came right

 \textbf {Hey there, here is the solution.}

.............................................................................................

Angles on a straight line add up to 180

⇒ a + b = 180

.

a - 2b = 30 (Given)

.............................................................................................

Solve a and b:

a + b = 180 --------- [ 1 ]

a - 2b = 30 --------- [ 2 ]

From [ 2 ]:

a - 2b = 30

a = 30 + 2b ----------- Substitute into [ 1 ]

a + b = 180

(30 + 2b) + b = 180

30 + 2b + b = 180

30 + 3b = 180

3b = 150

b = 50 ----------- Substitute into [ 1 ]

a + 50 = 180

a = 130

..............................................................................................

Answer: a = 130° and b = 50°

..............................................................................................

 \textbf {Cheers}
