Hey

a) 1/Req = 1/R1 + 1/R2

1/Req = 1/1 + 1/10^6

= 10^6 + 1/10^6

= 1000001/10^6

Req = 1000000/1000001

b) 1/Req = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3

= 1/1 + 1/10^3 + 1/10^6

= 10^6 + 10^2 + 1/10^6

= 1000101/10^6

Req = 1000000/100010

Solution :-

Resistance when connected in parallel

1/Rp  = 1/R1  + 1/R2

____________________

Case 1 :

R1 = 1 Ω

R2 = 10^6 Ω = 1000000 Ω

1/Rp = 1/1  + 1/1000000

=> 1/Rp = (1000000 + 1)/1000000

=> 1/Rp = 1000001/1000000

=> Rp = 1000000/1000001

=> Rp = 0.999999 Ω

=> Rp ≈ 1 Ω
