Cassius pleads Caesar to forgive brother Publius Cimber and repeal his order to banish him. He bows down to Caesar. But Caesar determinedly rejects his plea. He explains that he is as firm in his resolutions as the pole star. Caesar also says that he had been firmly resolute that Cimber should be banished permanently. Then Casca, followed by the other conspirators, and finally Brutus stabbed Caesar, killing him.
