hi friend
here's your answer looking for :-
before knowing the functions of neurone let's first understand what are the neurones ?
neurones are the building block of the nervous system . each cell of nervous system is called as neurones or nerve cell .
the function of neurones are as follow :-
1) the neurones help us to carry the information from one part of the body to another part with the help of nerve impulse .
2) it help us to provide the sensation of touch .
3) because of this only we are able to detect or sense anything .
hope you r satisfied with my answer

Hey mate..
========
▪The information acquired at the dendritic tip of a nerve cells sets off a chemical reaction which creates an electrical impulse.
▪This impulse travels from the dendrites to the cell body and then along the axon to its end.
▪At the end of the axon, the electrical impulse sets off the release of some chemcials. These chemicals cross the gap or synapse and start a similar electrical impulse in the dendrite of the next neuron.
So, The junction between the two neurons is called synapse.
Hope it helps !!
