I don't think that trees do that...

In fact trees reduce the effect of wind. They act as a barrier in the way of the wind and they slow it down in their vicinity.

For example :-

In deserts some trees and bushes stop sand particles in the wind and slow the wind down causing less erosions in their vicinity.
