Learning doesn't only mean that studying what is written in book, it also means how we understand the concept an dhow far we are able to describe it . While speaking also our skills increase. Our communication skills are improved a lot by this. Even our language, slang of speaking etc also get improved. When we talk about something we understand it better. Also listening helps in learning. When we talk we come across various things which we didn't knew before. And this way our knowledge also increases. There's much importance for talking ( speaking) in learning.
Hope this helps
