the two boys were very determined , calm and passionate as a gentle and generous man so that they can able to get the better treatment for their sister lucia who is afflicated by tuberculosis of spine

The two little boys though teenagers worked hard day and night just for their ailing sister Lucia.
So that she can get a better treatment.
The two boys possessed all the qualities of gentlemen which are even difficult to find in adults today.
They were selfless and thus their this selfless action brought a nobility in human society.
Hence the term "Gentlemen " is justified.
