'Keeping it From
Harold' is an interesting story that depicts how many sacrifices parents can
make for the welfare of their children. Quite contrary to their expectations
Harold turned out to be an intellectual prodigy. They decided to keep his
father's profession hidden from him out of their loving devotion to their son's
welfare. The boxing profession was not considered so respectable in those days.
Besides, the curate had also advised them to keep it hidden from Harold. Percy,
his uncle also had expressed his approval on hiding it from Harold. The naive,
innocent, and loving parents were so anxious to keep the truth hidden from
Harold. So the title is aptly justified as it perfectly summarizes the plot of
the story.
