This poem contrasts a tiger in the zoo in his cage with the tiger in its natural habitat. The poem moves from the zoo to the jungle, and back again to the jungle. The poet sees a tiger full of rage but quiet, moving in his cage in a starry night.

Answer:

A free tiger moves silently under the grass and waits for the hefty deer which passes by the river.

A free tiger roars at jungle borders. Its roaring could be heard by various houses.

The tiger has very sharp claws that could scare many.

A caged tiger can never enjoy its natural habitat and it looses all its strength wen it is caged.

Also it ignores the passing visitors as it has lost its natuality wen it has stayed away from its natural habitat.
