This story is a thief story. Horace Dolby is a different kind of thief who steals money and things from rich people’s house and spends all the money on reading books. He is very fond of books. He usually makes a proper plan came out and said that she was the owner. She also said she would complain to the police. Frightened he ran away. He was caught by the police.

Then he came to know that the lady was not an owner and she was also a thief. She used him for stealing things. The title meant that there is a question of trust in every person we see in our daily life. The thief trusted her to be the owner but he was caught by a person from the same background.
