• G.H.Hardy and W.Weinberg in 1908 developed a method to relate evolutionary changes and population genetics,known as Hardy- Weinberg equilibrium law.
• The law states that 'If a population is at equilibrium then the gene frequency will remain constant generation after generation'.
• This law applicable ,when there is no mutation ,natural selection,genetic drift & geneflow and hence no evolution takes place
