= $Rs. \: 1440$

Let "x" represents the printed price or marked price of the watch.

Discount% = 10%

Therefore,

$S.P. = M.P. - \frac{Discount\%}{100} \times M.P.$

$\implies 1440 = x - \frac{10}{100} \times x$

$\implies 1440 = x - 0.1 x$

$\implies 1440 = 0.9x$

$\implies \bold{x = Rs. \:1600}$

Thus, the printed price of the watch should be → Rs. 1600.
