Kailash gives 1/3 of his chocolates to Satyendra and 1/5 to his younger brother Vishal. if Kailash has only 14 chocolates after giving them. how many chocolates does each one get?​

Let the no. of chocolates kailash have be x

He gave 1/3 to Satyendra = x/3

He gave 1/5 to his brother = x/5

According to question,

x- x/3 - x/5 = 14

15x - 5x - 3x/15 = 14

7x = 14x15

7x = 210

therefore x = 30

No. of chocolate he gave to Satyendra = 30/3 = 10

No. of chocolate he gave to his brother = 30/5 = 6
