Kalpana chawla was a women made up of everything right. Her strength,self driving motivation was just one of a kind. Belonging to a small town of haryana i.e karnal a little girl with all her energy worked hard with all her heart and fulfilled her dream of becoming astronautical engineer. Rakesh sharma the first Indian astronaut in space described Kalpana Chawla as " the indomitable sipirt of womenhood". Kaplaana Chawala was really combination of brilliant mind with which she worked and became part of NASA and intenstic of women spirit with which she became a spark of power in eyes of every women

During a mathematics class, Kalpana’s teacher was explaining the concept of a null set (empty set in algebra). To give an example, she said that a set of Indian women astronauts was a classic example of a null set as till date no Indian woman had become an astronaut. To everybody’s surprise, Kalpana quipped, “Who knows, Ma’am, one day this set may not be empty!”  (Except Kalpana's Childhood) At that time, no one in the classroom could imagine, let alone know, that the girl who had spoken these lines would herself go on to fill the set!When she wanted to join aeronautical engineering, he counselors were not very pleased with her choice due to limited job opportunities in the country but she had her mind set and unwaveringly she pursued her goal. Her journey from Punjab Engineering College to NASA is an example of her indomitable spirit and devotion. Kalpana Chawla made us proud as she became the first ever Indian woman to go to space and set standards for all the Indian women who are exploited in the name of eve-teasing, domestic violence, and discrimination. Several youngsters get inspiration from her in making a choice of career and rising to soaring heights.
