cp=20×375=7500
sp=20×12×33=7920
profit= sp-cp =7920-7500=420
profi% = 420÷7500×100 = 5.6%

Given :

Kamal purchased 20 dozens of toys at the rate of rs 375 per dozen he sold each one of them at the rate of rs 33

To Find :

what was his percentage profit

Solution:

Cost price of 1 dozen of toys = Rs.375

Cost price of 12 toys = Rs.375

Cost price of 1 toy =\frac{375}{12}=31.25

SP of 1 toy = rs.33

Profit \% = \frac{SP-CP}{CP} \times 100\\Profit \% = \frac{33-31.25}{31.25} \times 100\\Profit \% =5.6\%

Hence The profit % is 5.6%
