Kamlesh was convicted for rigging of votes in the last election. Mukesh was held guilty for practising untouchability. The court did not allow either of them to contest for the elections. Does this decision go against the principle of democratic elections? Give reasons commenting on the cases of both Kamlesh and Mukesh.

Answer:

No, this decision of the court is not against the principle of democracy because the democracy also believe that the election should be free and fair. In the case of Kamlesh the rigging of people for giving votes is not fair and also in the case of Mukesh, he creates an issue between the people on the case of untouchability. this creates gap between the people which is also not right yet.
