kanika had a piece of cloth 1m long and 60m broad. She cut it into square shaped handkerchiefs, each side measuring 20cm and put a lace on the boundary. How much lace is needed for the handkerchiefs.​

Answer:

so the area of the piece of cloth=1*60=60 m²

area of each square= (20/100)²=0.04 m²

number of squares= 60/0.04= 1500

perimeter of each square= 80 cm

lace required= 1500*80 = 1200 m
