The average price paid by Kanika per kg is Rs.45

Solution:

Given, Kanika went to the market to buy onions she bought 4 kg from a vendor at Rs.50 per kg

Then she found another vendor who offer onions at Rs 40 per kg so she bought another 4 kg

we have to find what is the average price she paid per kg.

Now, average price per kg =\frac{\text { sum of price of kgs bought }}{\text { number of kgs bought }}

\text { Average price }=\frac{40+50}{2}=\frac{90}{2}=45

Hence, the average price of onions per kg is Rs. 45/-
