let x be cost of tea and y be cost of sugar
as she paid 50rs as return fare
700-50=650rs
therefore,
1.5x + 5y = 650
2 X (1.5x+5y=650)...as to remove the decimal
3x+10y=1300...1
A\C 2nd
2x+7y=880...2
multiply eqn 1 by 2 and 2 by 3
6x+20y=2600......3
6x+21y=2640......4
substracting eqn 4 and 3
6x+21y=2640
6x+20y=2600
____________
y = 40
substituting y=40 in eqn 1
3x + 10y = 1300
3x + 10(40) = 1300
3x + 400 = 1300
3x = 1300-400
3x = 900
x = 900/3
x = 300
therefore
cost of tea per kg = 300rs
cost of sugar per kg = 40rs
as she paid 50rs as return fare
700-50=650rs
therefore,
1.5x + 5y = 650
2 X (1.5x+5y=650)...as to remove the decimal
