Karan and Saran start from their home at same time but travel by different routes to reach their school. Karan’s house is at a distance of 1500 m from school while saran’s house is 2000 m from school. If both reach school at the same time, what can be inferred?

Since, both reach school at the same time,let time be t.

Distance walked by karan 1500 m and by saran 2000m.

Let the Speed of karan be X and saran be Y.

t = d/s

Time is same therefore:-

1500/X = 2000/Y

1500/2000 = X/Y

3/4 = X/Y

Hence, Saran moves faster than Karan. Ratio of their speed is 3:4.
