Answer:

The height of Vladimir is 12 ft .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The height of Kaye = h = 5 ft 4 inch = 64 inches     ( ∵ 1 ft = 12 inches )

The length of Kaye's shadow = x = 24 inches

Tan angle = \dfrac{perpendicular}{base}

Or, Tan angle = \dfrac{h}{x}

Or, Tan angle = \dfrac{64}{24}

∴ Or, Tan angle = \dfrac{8}{3}

Again

At The same time

The length of Vladimir's shadow = X = 3 inches + 24 inches = 27 inches

Let The height of Vladimir = H inches

i.e Tan angle = \dfrac{perpendicular}{base}

Or, Tan angle = \dfrac{H}{X}

Or, \dfrac{8}{3} =  \dfrac{H}{27}

Or, H = \dfrac{8\times 27}{3}

∴   H = 72 inches

i.e H = \dfrac{72}{12}  = 6 ft

So, The height of Vladimir = H = 12 ft

Hence, The height of Vladimir is 12 ft . Answer
