Hey there!

We have been given the following reaction:

KClO_3(s) \xrightarrow[\text{}]{\text{heat}} KCl (s)+ O_2 (g)

In this reaction the decomposition of potassium chlorate takes place. Since it is taking place in the presence of heat so it is thermal decomposition. Potassium chloride and oxygen gas are formed as a product.

- So, this is thermal decomposition reaction.

Balanced Reaction is as follows:

2KClO_3(s) \xrightarrow[\text{}]{\text{heat}} 2KCl (s)+ 3O_2 (g)

Hope It Helps You!
