Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) is a condition which result from being too much focused on the computer screen. It gives of various problems, both mental and physical. Following are the three ways to avoid or minimize it effect:

  1. Your sitting posture must be good and you should definitely exercise your back and spinal muscles if you sit on the computer for more than 3 hours.
  2. While being on the computer screen, the blinking rate of our eyes goes down to 3-4 times a minute, where it should be at least 10-12 times a minute. This causes dryness of the eyes which results in problems like inflammation. To overcome this, we should have our computer screen 20 - 40 degrees below our eye level.
  3. The room should be well lit so that the light from the computer screen does not directly fall on our eyes. Using anti-glare screens or special spectacles can also help in this case.
