Volume of cylinder (V)= πr²h

keeping the height same

Let the new radius be R

∴new Volume(V')= πR²h

also (V)=2(V')

πr²h=2πR²h

r²=2R²

r=R√2

∴the new radius should be √2 times the original radius.
