To Find : After how many months would the total amount paid be the same for both dealers? What would that amount be?

Solution:

Let say After T months  amount paid be the same for both dealers

Amount Paid at 1st dealer  =  2450 + 200T

Amount Paid at 2nd dealer  =  3150 + 175T

Equate Both

2450 + 200T = 3150 + 175T

=> 25T  = 700

=> T  = 28

After 28 Months the total amount paid be the same for both dealers

Amount =    2450 + 200T = 2450 + 200(28)

= 2450 + 5600

= 8050  $

28 Months

Amount = 8050  $
