there are three agricultural season in india.
.Kharif
.Rabi
.Zaid
KHARIF:
kharif season begins with the pre-monsoon showers in the month of may during this period farmer plough land ,prepare nurseries and await the break of monsoon.
.with the arrival of monsoon in june or early july the farmers sow their crops.
.by the end if monsoon the crops are ready for harvest.
.the kharif crops are rice,millets,maize,groundnuts,jute,cotton and pulses.
RABI:
.Rabi crops depends upon sub soil moisture.
.sowing of rabi crops is done in october-november
.rabi crops are harvested in april-may.
.rabi crops are wheat ,gram ,barley and potato
