Let 'x' represents the tickets sold by Jimmy.
Given that Ankitesh sold 1 3/8 times as Jimmy sold.
= > 1 (3/8) * x
= > 11x/8
Given that Money collected by selling the tickets = 3800
= > x + (11x/8) = 3800
= > (8x + 11x) = 3800 * 8
= > 19x = 30400
= > x = 1600.
Now,
Tickets sold by ankitesh:
= > 11x/8
= > 11(1600)/8
= > 2200.
Therefore,
The tickets sold by Jimmy = 1600.
The tickets sold by Ankitesh = 2200.
Hope it helps!
