Question

Kit foxes sweat and lick themselves. their swet or saliva evaporates and cools the body. but this meathod is not good is water is scarce. why is this method not good if water is scarce?

Because some of the body's water is wasted in sweat and if the animal licks his sweat then their will be more loss of water as saliva also contain some water and it is getting evaporated
