K R Narayanan was born on 0ctober 27th in 1920 in Travancore which is in the state of Kerala.

He was the first Dalit president of India and the first "Malayali" person to receive the highest office of the country.

He served as the 9th Vice-President of India from 1992 to 1997. After the completion of his tenure as vice-president , he was elected as 10th president on 25th July 1997 and served five years as president till 25th July 2002.
