Hai friend,
speed = distance/time
therefore time = distance/speed
let us take the total distance covered be x
therefore the time taken by the object to cover one third distance = x/3/v1 = x/3v1
in the same way time taken by the object to cover other one third is equal to x/3v2 and x/3v3 respectively
Average speed = total distance covered/ total time
therefore average speed = x/x/3v1+x/3v2+x/3v3
= x/x(1/3v1+1/3v2+1/3v3) = 1/1/3v1+1/3v2+1/3v3
speed = distance/time
