Krishna thinks of a number. She squares it, then takes away 5, next multiplies it by 4, takes away 7, divides it by 3 and finally adds 6. Her answer is 9. What number did she start with ?

solution :-

9 - 6 = 3

3 * 3 = 9

9 + 7 = 16

16/4 = 4

4 + 5 = 9

√9 = 3

so the number is 3.
